When we headed off around Australia in 2023, we always knew we would be missing out on a big chunk of our own backyard in NSW. So our plan was always to come back and start to adventure around our own state… and that time has arrived!
During April, we’ll be heading around the southern half of NSW for 13 days:
- Snowy Mountains (Cooma & Tumut)
- Riverina
- Broken Hill
- Central West (Cobar, Dubbo, Parkes, Coonabarabran)
Hopefully in the coming years we’ll be able to take in the northern half of NSW – we’d love to get to places like Lightning Ridge, Dorrigo, and out to Bourke.
I’ll get back into writing about our adventures each day as we travel. It does feel like this trip is the “bonus extras” of our amazing trip from 2023 – so continuing to write as an extension of those Round Australia posts feels like a good fit.
You can find a link to our itinerary here (and in the top left corner). And each day I write here will line up with a day on that itinerary.
This time around the car will be our 2024 Kia Carnival, called Felix. We’ll still travel with our roof pod and the car fridge – both of those were so perfect for Round Australia, and we now travel with them on most holidays. But now that we’re well on our way to teenagers, having a car with more room is something of a blessing!
Looking forward to sharing our adventures with you – we head off on Monday 6th April!
Sounds fun you guys! May it be a wonderful adventure for you all. 🙏🏼❤️
